Hey Everyone! Last time I told you about the Pittie Pack’s Memory Quilt, and today I’m going to tell you about another kind of quilt and a project Mom has been planning to do for awhile! A few months ago Mom and Dad went to a giant Anteek Fair and Mom found this super neat anteek quilt for only 10 green papers! (Mom is parshul to quilts because her very own Grandma used to piece quilts together by hand and made Mom her own big quilt and one for our boy! We also have some of Mom’s great-grandma’s quilts!)
Isn’t it pretty? This one was hand-maded by someone a long time ago! Mom says the circle pattern is called “Double Wedding Ring”. We love looking at all the kinds of fabric, there are lots and lots of patterns and colors! And see how the edges are pink? We love pink!
Here is a closer-up photo!
It has some parts where the stitching is coming apart, but that was okay since Mom could fix that:
Mom stitched up the owie parts and her project is…throw pillow covers! One is all done!
We really like the new pillow, but Mom keeps putting it up so we won’t sleep on it. I did manage to snuggle up to it a little bit, though!
What has been going on at your homes, Furiends? What kinds of things does your mom like to make?
That quilt is quite a find.. I love the pillows your mom made.
My mom just made two new Light Weight Jackets for Ernie and Me. She HURRIED beclaws she can put them on Ernie to keep him from scratching his bad owie.
Thanks, Mr. Frankie! How nice that your mom can make jackets for you and Mr. Puppy Ernie! My mom hasn’t figured out how to make clothes for me yet!
Mom’s been working on a couple of new pillows for the couch. We have a few quilts that Mom’s grandma made, one that Dad’s great grandma made with parts of her wedding dress, one that Dad’s mom made and one that Dad’s sister made.
Bunny
Aren’t quilts super, Miss Bunny? Wow, how neat that you have a quilt made from your great great grandma’s wedding dress! I bet it is just luvly!
My peep isn’t a clever as yours! Though She did gather lots of gum balls from a, uh, well, I guess a gum ball tree, over the weekend to make some wreaths. We’ll see if She ever makes one. Tee Hee!
Arooo, Stuart
We would love to see a gumball wreath, Mr. Stuart! That sounds very clever!
Wow my mom person is in love with that quilt. Her mom (my grandma person) is a quilt make & collector. She has made many wonderful and meaningful quilts for our family.
Nubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Grandmas are super, aren’t they, Mr. Oskar? Tell your mom we would love to see some of your quilts!
I’m SO super sorry it’s been FUREVER since I came over to say HI! So…HI!
Oh, I luvs that pillow your mom made. It’s so pretty and comfy looking. I don’t blame you a BIT for wanting to sleep on it. (Cuz, isn’t that what pillows are for?)
My mom doesn’t make anything. Unless you count making a mess.
Wiggles & Wags,
Mayzie
PeeS. Come over to my bloggie if you gets a chance. I tagged you today!
Gosh, Miss Mayzie, thanks for tagging us for the super fun game, we are going to start compiling our answers right away! Thanks for coming to say hi, we haven’t been around to talk to our furiends in awhile either, we really have to get Mom going there!
